Letter from our CEO

A Warm Welcome to Our Guests and Their Families from Our CEO Jennifer Stokes

I would like to personally welcome you as our guest at Palo Verde Behavioral Health. We have served Southern Arizona since 1960, and we are passionate about helping adolescents and adults in crisis, as well as their families. We are conveniently located in midtown – right behind Tucson Medical Center.

If this is your family’s first experience with a mental health crisis, we know how fearful the unknown can be, and we empathize with you. If you or your loved one have received mental health treatment before, you can have confidence knowing that they are in good hands. Palo Verde is committed to providing a warm, caring, comfortable and safe environment. Our highly trained, knowledgeable and experienced team includes doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers, behavioral health technicians, dietitians and recreational therapists – all working together to provide exceptional care. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality of care to meet your behavioral health and/or substance abuse needs.

At Palo Verde, we offer comprehensive treatment for adolescents ages 12 and above, as well as adults. Our program is designed to provide the full continuum of care from our 84-bed inpatient hospital to our robust outpatient programs, which include our partial hospitalization program (PHP) and our intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Our outpatient services are also open to those who qualify – and do not require a stay in our inpatient hospital first. I invite you to learn more about our outpatient programs by clicking here. You can also schedule a no cost assessment – offered in-person or virtually – by clicking here. This assessment will help determine which level of care is best for you.

Our inpatient team provides individualized treatment plans that are customized to you or your loved one, as well as transitional services to help with the next phase of your journey. We offer acute psychiatric, general psychiatric and substance abuse services. You can learn more about what we offer for adults by clicking here, and what we offer adolescents by clicking here.

I would like to commend you for seeking our help. It is not always easy when you or a loved one is struggling with a behavioral health or substance abuse crisis. Reaching out is an essential first step, and we are here to help you through this stressful time.

Seeking treatment can be overwhelming and confusing, and we encourage you to reach out to our team of compassionate, caring, and dedicated professionals by calling our intake department at 520-322-2888, or feel free to walk in 24/7. We are always open.

We look forward to being a part of your journey to a happy healthier future!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Stokes, CEO
